‘Rasool, Pathan doing politics in JKCA’: Abid Nabi

Srinagar, February 23: Valley’s star cricketer Abid Nabi Sunday censured J&K senior team’s skipper Parvez Rasool and mentor Irfan Pathan, saying they are doing politics in J&K Cricket Association.

“Parvez and Irfan are ruining J&K cricket. They are doing pure politics. They make sure only their favorite players get a chance in team.” Abid, who was once considered the future of Team India, asserted.

However, J&K has done quite well this season, making it to the quarter-finals of Ranji Trophy second time ever. Though Nabi questioned why only Irfan Pathan and Parvez Rasool were taking the credit.

“I highly appreciate the team for doing well in the tournament but the question is why is only Iran Pathan and Parvez Rasool taking the credit? Where were they both when J&K won first four matches?” Abid asked.

Nabi also took a dig at JKCA administration, saying they are doing whatever they wish and ruining J&K’s cricket.

“The current administration is acting like GOD of J&K cricket though they have no knowledge about the game. They do whatever they want and ruining the cricket.” He concluded.
