Srinagar: Team India’s star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and Pakistan cricket team star duo Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan have been named in Wisden’s Under-25 world ODI XI.

The XI has been selected of players who were 25 or below as of July 31, 2022.

According to Wisden’s list, Phil Salt (England) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz (Afghanistan) would open the innings whereas Shimron Hetmyer, Harry Tector and Team India’s Rishabh Pant have been slotted at third, fourth and fifth spots.
Pant has been in prolific form for India and has led hos team to numerous wins in Australia and England.

Kyle Verreyne from South Africa makes the cut to bat at sixth spot as he has been a consistent run-scorer for his side since making his debut in 2020.

Shadab Khan, a genuine leg-spinner as well as a handy batter, bats at seventh spot.

One of the best spinners in white-ball cricket Rashid Khan has been inducted as well. Rashid is currently Afghanistan’s leading wicket-taker in ODIs.

Alzarri Joseph, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Blessing Muzarabani are the three pacemen in the line-up.
