Stressing that health and safety of all concerned should be priority, former Pakistan Cricket team skipper Shahid Afridi on Tuesday said that it was sad to see Pakistan Super League (PSL) end this way.
Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday postponed ongoing PSL amid the Coronavirus outbreak and amid the concerns about the safety of all. Initially last few matches of PSL were held closed doors and then it was truncated by a day and palyoff were scrapped. Now as the global pandemic is fast spreading PCB decided to postpone the event that has only semifinals and final to be played.
Taking to his official twitter handle, Shahid Afridi tweeted, “ Sad to see the PSL end, but health and safety of all concerned is the key, esp those who are travelling back to their homes.Perhaps the decision could have been taken earlier, with regards to the trophy…well the table-topper should be handed the trophy? Smiling face with smiling eyes @MultanSultans,” he tweeted.
