Srinagar: J&K Bank striker, Aakif Reshi would be leading J&K attack in the upcoming Santosh Trophy football tournament as J&K Football Association announced its 20 member team on Friday.
J&K this is hosting North Zone leg of 73rd Santosh Trophy 2018-19 at Katra February 11 to 16.
The North Zone qualifying rounds is being organised by J&K Football Association and is being supported by J&K State Sports Council, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and J&K Bank Ltd.
The team comprises of 20 players. Guatam mehra has been named captain while as Adnan Ayoub as vice captain. The others include, Rashid Nalkand, Nirdosh Salgotra, Gagan deep Singh, Vivek Gulati, Faisal Thakur, Amit Kumar, Shahid Sheeraz, Gulshan Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Sanan Tariq, Shaikar Ahmad Sheikh, Ishan Gupta, Ali Asif Khan, Asif Ashraf, Aakif Javed Reshi, Furkan Zargar, Touseef Ahmad and Amrit Pal Singh.
Satpal Singh, Coach, Zahoor Ahmad Teeli ,Manager, Abdul Majeed Kakroo, Technical Director, Rajesh Kumar, Asst. Coach & Shahid Sahmeem Lone is the Physio . The J&K Team has to play NZ Qualifier Round against, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand.
