Anantnag: With the aim to enhance and flourish football across all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir under ‘Mission-22’, State Football Academy (SFA) of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) held one day open selection trials for district Kulgam football aspirants on Thursday at Sports Stadium, Anantnag.
While holding trials in Kulgam, nearly 140 players underwent through trials who were transported from Kulgam to Anantnag.
Out of 140 football aspirants almost 60 boys were selected under three age groups 13, 15 and 18 respectively. The selected players will undergo SFA curriculum training at their home ground Kulgam and will likely participate in the ongoing SFA Inter Academies Football League 2017-18.
The trials were conducted under the supervision of Senior Coach JKSSC, Javeed Ahmed Sofi, SFA Head Coach U-15, Muzamil Mahmood, SFA Coach U-13, Ali Mohammad and SFA Coach Anantnag, Fayaz Ahmed.
The entire process of trials was coordinated by Abdul Rehmaan of SFA Kulgam. Moreover, to avail training facilities to the selected players of SFA, the District Football Unit of Kulgam will likely be launched in coming days.
