The premier Pakistan leg spinner Shadaab Khan who was suffering from virus has been declared fit and is likely to join Pakistan cricket team ahead of ICC world Cup-2019.

Shadab, who was included in Pakistan’s World Cup squad, was recently diagnosed with a virus, which was reported to be Hepatitis C.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, Shadab went to see “Dr Patrick Kennedy, world renowned gastroenterologist and hepatologist with a special interest in liver disease in elite sportsmen”.

Shadab will now undergo more blood tests in Lahore, upon where it will be decided whether he will be fit for the World Cup.

Even Pakistan chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq is optimistic that spinner Shadab Khan will be fit for the World Cup, while all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez “will be in action soon”.

As for Hafeez, he is still recovering from the second operation he underwent on his fractured thumb.

“We have received positive reports about the fitness of Shadab Khan and hope that he will be fit in time for the World Cup,” Inzamam was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk. “Also Hafeez will be in action soon, according to my reports.”

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
