Shahid Afridi reveals his real age

CricketShahid Afridi reveals his real age

Having often been questioned for his age, former Pakistan all-rounder, Shahid Afridi, has finally revealed his real age in his recently released autobiography, ‘Gamechanger’

Afridi has mentioned his birth year as 1975 in the book while his official records show 1980, hence unveiling the five-year gap.

Shahid debuted in international cricket way back in 1996 and is still busy playing the franchise-based cricket tournaments. The right-hander has had one of the iconic international careers. He introduced himself to world cricket with a record 37-ball hundred while settled down with his leg-break bowling in the later part of his career.

Afridi has done quite too many impossibles for Pakistan especially in the limited overs cricket. The all-rounder also captained the side for a long time. It was during his tenure when Pakistan lifted the T20 World Cup in 2009.

Been one of the most entertaining cricketers around the world, Afridi, last week released his autobiography in subcontinent. The Pakhtunkhwa-born cricketer has revealed all the interesting things on and off the field in the Gamechanger.

Having also revealed his real age, which falls five years older than his official record, Afridi might well have triggered a controversy.
