Srinagar, April 18: Noticing that Pakistan middle has struggled during recent T20 series against South Africa , former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi wants inclusion of senior pro into Pakistan T20 World Cup squad .
Afridi has pitched for inclusion of out of favour senior batsman Shoaib Malik into the squad for World Cup that is scheduled to be held in India in October later this year.
While congratulating the Pakistam on the 3-1 series victory against the Proteas, Afridi highlighted the middle-order woes of the team.
“Congratulations Pakistan on the series win,” Afridi Tweeted.
“Despite the victory we need to review the middle-order performances where we seem to be struggling for a long time. I think Shoaib Malik must be considered again, especially since it’s a T20 World Cup year,” His Tweet mentioned .
Although, Pakistan’s top-order and bowlers led the team to successive series victories against South Africa, its fragile middle-order was exposed as no batsman could make any notable contribution.
