Srinagar: Coming out clear and in full support of skipper Babar Azam, senior opener Shan Masood has said that he is ready to give life for Pakistan captain.

In an interview with a local media news channel, Shan said that the entire team is fully behind Babar and is willing to support him in every way possible.

“We were ready to give our lives when Sarfaraz Ahmed was our captain, and now we are ready to give our lives for Babar Azam,” said the batter.

He praised Azam’s leadership skills and stated that he is an exceptional captain who deserves the team’s unwavering support. He further added that, as a team, their goal is to play for their country and to perform at their best to achieve this objective.

When asked about the criticism faced by the skipper and the team, Shan Masood said, “We watch a lot of news on criticism of the team but we don’t get bothered by them as our mutual goal is to play for our country,” he said.

Shan also shared his admiration for Shaheen Shah Afridi, whom he considers the best bowler in the world at present.

“If you are surviving Shaheen’s first over and also hitting a six, it means that you are playing very well as he is the number one bowler in the world right now,” he said.
