Srinagar, Febuary 10: Pakistan newly appointed bowling coach former Australian cricketer Shaun Tait has said that he is excited to work with likes of Shaheen Afridi and others in Pakistan team.
Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday appointed Saqlain Mushtaq as head coach of Pakistan team for 12 months while as Tait was appointed as bowling coach for 12 months. Former Pakistan great Mohammad Yousuf was appointed as batting coach for Australia series.
In a video massage Tait said that he is delighted to be joining Pakistan cricket team as coach, “I am delighted to be joining the Pakistan cricket team as the fast bowling coach, and undoubtedly, this is a huge responsibility for me. Pakistan is a huge cricketing nation in the world that has a history of producing some great fast bowlers.”
“Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah Hassan Ali, Muhammad Abbas are good bowlers and these are just a few names. I am very excited to work with these players. I can’t wait any longer for this opportunity,” he added.
Shaun Tait, who was one of the fastest bowlers in the world in his time, has represented Australia in three tests, 35 ODIs, and 21 T20Is.
