Baramulla, August 02: Muzaffar Sofi and Hanan Malik were the exceptional performers of the day as FCC Buchpora and Kaka XI Sumbal won matches on Monday in the 17th SNW Memorial Cricket Trophy at Chanderhama.
In game one, JCC Bandipora posted a small total of 128 runs against Buchpora. Waseem Maqbool (26) and Sohaib Mushtaq (23) scored cameos while Muzaffar Sofi was the wrecker-in-chief, picking 4 wickets.
FCC Buchpora chased down the total comfortably with 7 wickets in hand and 6.2 overs to spare. Manzoor Illahi fired 58 runs.
Muzaffar, for his top spell, bagged man of the match award.
In second game, Shabir Shahnawaz Naidkhai could only make meagre 82 runs after opting to bat first against Kaka XI Sumbal.
Suhail Khan (24) was the only batter to find some touch. For bowling side, Saleem Dar took 4 wbile Adil Zahoor scalped 3 wickets.
Sumbal chased down the target in mere 5 overs without losing any wicket. Henan Malik fired unbeaten 52 runs in 21 balls and Ishtiyaq Elahi also struck 9-ball 23 runs.
Henan Malik was named man of the match for his quick fifty.
