Sopore Super League opening ceremony flagged off in style

The mega opening ceremony of 35 over event Sopore Super League, first of it’s kind in Valley were held at Sopore on Sunday .

The ceremony were attended by some well known names of Valley including former cricketer and current chief selector of J&K,  Parvez Qaiser, former legendary cricketer Ab Qayoom Bagaw and star cricketer of J&K Abid Nabi.

Different decisions regarding the league were taken in the meeting which was attended by all the captains of participant teams as well. The league will be played at four different venues of North Kashmir and will try to attract all star players of Kashmir as it’s a cash rich event.

Pool draws were also held during the ceremony and 45 teams were disturbed in 9 groups. The league will be played on league cum knockout basis and aims to develop sense of longer format among players. The league will probably began from the first week of April.
