Srinagar: SRM Welkin School emerged winner in the Khadijah Memorial Champions Trophy-2022 Green Valley Educational Institute at Green Valley Elahibagh Srinagar on Saturday.

In the annual inter school cricket tournament 14 teams of different schools of the Valley participated. The final was played between the teams of Burn Hall School, Srinagar and SRM Welkin School, Sopore. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary Sports Council J&K was the Chief Guest of the event. Ex Ranji player Omer Alam was also present in the finals.

Burn Hall School won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 81 runs in the alloted 10 overs. While SRM chased the score in just 9.4 overs. Though the Burn Hall School put in their best efforts but SRM outclassed their competitors and won the tournament. The Man of the Match was awarded to Hassan of SRM Welkin, Sopore and Man of the Series was given to Labeeb of Burn Hall School.

Green Valley Educational Institute will continue to contribute towards a better society by providing such opportunities to the children of the Valley.
