Srinagar, Oct 3: Star Palhallan lifted the Green Willow Inter Village Cricket Championship Palhallan title defeating Ghat Palhallan in the final on Saturday by five wickets.
Batting first after winning the toss Ghat Palhallan posted a total of 129 on board . Ashraf & Adil scored 37 runs each for them while as Imtiyaz contributed 10 off 4 balls at the end of their inning. Omar Wani took 3 wickets for Star Palhallan while as Muntazir grabbed 1 wicket.
In reply , Star Palhallan got off to quicker start scoring 58 runs inside powerplay for the loss of 2 wickets. Ghat Palhallan dropped couple of catches , which helped Star Palhallan batsman who chased target of 130 within 13 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Kifayat scored 51 off 27 balls while as Muneer and Zubair added 24 & 21 runs each respectively . Omar took 2 wickets for Ghat Palhallan .
Kifayat was adjudged man of the match for his quick 51 run knock .
M Yousuf was crowned as man of the tournament. He had Scored 140 runs and had taken 6 wickets in 3 games of the tournament .
Ghat Palhallan was awarded with runners up tropy , individual trophies and Cash Prize of 5000.
Star Palhallan was awarded with Winners trophy , Individual trophies & Cash Prize of 10, 000.
20 Special guests were honored with trophies , Kids & Supporting team members were also awarded with trophies.
