Srinagar, November 10: Ahead of crucial and all important T20 World Cup semifinal against Australia , Pakistan veteran batsman Shoaib Malik and wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan are suffering from flu.
As per reports , Malik and Rizwan are suffering from flu and missed Wednesday training session as well.
Reports also said that duo returned negative Covid Test but thier availability for the Australia match would be confirmed on Thursday.
Rizwan is one of the leading run-scorers of the tournament, with 214 runs against his name, and his absence will hurt Pakistan at the top of the order and behind the stumps.
If Rizwan would be unavailable then former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will replace him. Fakhar Zaman is then likely to open the inning with skipper Babar Azam.
On the other hand, Malik, who smashed the fastest fifty in Pakistan’s T20I history against Scotland in 18 balls, is likely to be replaced by youngster batsman Haider Ali.
