Srinagar, July 23: Former J&K skipper, Samiullah Beigh, Thursday said talents like Manzoor Dar, Qamran Iqbal, Shahrukh Dar, etc being sidelined is unfortunate.

Reacting to Manzoor’s recent remarks that he has been underutilised by the team management, Beigh said people in administration should know how to deal with talents like him.

Beigh remarked that there are players who don’t look impressive in the nets but can change things on the field.

“They should learn how to deal with talent. Not all cricketers look good in the nets Bt (but) are mighty effective (in) matches. Management of talented players is an art which present one seems to be lacking big time.” Beigh wrote.

The veteran all-rounder said it is unfortunate to see players like Manzoor, Qamran, etc not getting enough opportunities.

“Unfortunate to find talented players like Manzoor Dar, Qamran Iqbal, Shahrukh Dar, Sajad Ganai etc being sidelined at the cost of favourites.” He said.

The Srinagar native warned constant disappointments might lead to exit of these cricketers.

“If they don’t fit into your scheme of things, atleast manage them properly. Don’t disappoint them like Manzoor seems. They will leave cricket and you will be responsible.” He asserted.
