Chandpora: The 2nd edition of much anticipated Harwan Premier League (HPL) 2019, a mega T-20 cricket tournament started on April 19 at Chandpora Cricket Ground, inaugural match was played between Theed Rebels and Hooked XI Budgam.

HPL, which is being played on the pattern of Indian Premier League, has been the blockbuster league of Jammu and Kashmir with successful First edition.

In this league 33 Franchisee teams are participating. The maximum squad size for a team is 16 players.

Moreover, the well known cricketers of the State are also participating in league which is making this season grander.

The league has been the stepping stone for local cricketers to realize their dreams.

The major highlights of this edition are the cash award worth Rs Two lacs for the winner team and Rs one Lac for the runner up team besides Umrah pakage for Man of the Series.

The first match of the HPL season 2 was played between Theed Rebels and Hooked eleven Budgam. After winning the toss Theed decided to field first. Hooked eleven made 134 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.. Theed rebels chased the target in the 19th over and lost 5 wickets..
