Srinagar: Hosts Kerala inflicted huge an inning and 65-run defeat on J&K as the visitors folded for 197 runs on Saturday in the match of Under-23 CK Nayudu Trophy cricket tournament at TC Stadium Kerala.

J&K, after being forced to follow-on, were chasing a huge target. Like first inning, J&K batting crumbled in second inning as well, helping hosts post a big win.

Resuming their second inning from the overnight total of 149 runs for the loss of eight, J&K’s last two wickets could add 48 runs on Saturday to take score to 197. For J&K, overnight not out batsman was first wicket to fall during day. He scored 55 runs and was highest scorer in inning.

The last man to fall in J&K inning was Imtiyaz Ahmad who scored 45. For Kerala, Vishnu P Kumar and Sreehari S Nair took three wickets each while as Sijomon Joseph took two wickets.

Kerala bagged seven points from the match, including bonus point.
Earlier Kerala posted 377-run total in their first inning. Vathsal with 191 runs was highest scorer for them while as Sreeroop MP scored 43.

For J&K, Nasir Lone took three wickets while as Sunil Kumar took two.
J&K in its first inning got all out for 115 run total.

Abhishant Bakshi with 42 was highest scorer for them while as Musaif Aijaz scored 15. For Kerala, Sijomon Joseph and Sreehari S Nair both took five wickets each. J&K were forced to follow on and then got all out for 197 runs in second inning.
