Srinagar, January 24: A dominating performance by bowlers and spelendid batting show by Musaif Aijaz on Thursday guided J&K to 7-wicket win against Tripura at Jammu in CK Nayudu U-23 tourney.
The promising batter scored fifties in both the innings while men with the ball made sure to keep Tripura on back-foot, assuring hosts bag 6 points from the game.
Earlier, riding on exceptional bowling display by tweaker Imtiyaz Ganai and seamer Rouf Bhat, J&K folded hosts for below-par 178-run total.
Unmoved by tricky track and tough conditions, Musaif Aijaz, played a crucial knock for hosts to help them get a healthy first innings-lead.
Continuing the rhythm from first innings, J&K bowlers again shone to bundle tourists on a paltry score of 236, asking home team to chase 168 in final inning. Imtiyaz was again wrecker-in-chief, scalping four-for while in-form Nasir Lone also shared three.
Subsequently, Musaif again mastered the innings, earning J&K 7-wicket win.
