Umran Malik’s pace has often made people compare him to the world’s fastest bowler ever Shoaib Akhtar. The pacer might be very new to international cricket but his heroics in IPL have made everyone talk about him.
However, Akhtar himself doesn’t seem to be much impressed by the comparisons made between him and Umran.
Recently, in a YouTube video, Akhtar said: “Usse jyda tez to Mai Apne YouTube videos me fekta hu.”
Umran made his India debut in the first T20I against Ireland earlier this month. He was rewarded with a place in the Indian team for the five-match T20I series against South after his magnificent performance in the Indian Premier League 2022. Malik took 22 wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad but he didn’t get a game against the Proteas.
The Jammu Kashmir cricketer is currently part of India’s squad for three-match T20I series against England.
