Srinagar: In a heartwarming gesture that has won him fans in both India and Pakistan, batting star Virat Kohli on Sunday gifted signed jersey to Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf.
In the Asia Cup clash India beat Pakistan by five wickets in Dubai on Sunday.
The nail-biting clash went down to the final over. Ultimately, it was some all-round heroics from Hardik Pandya that made the difference.
After the match, there was a lot of love on display off the pitch as Indian cricketing great Virat Kohli gifted Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf a signed Indian cricket team jersey in a heartwarming moment.
The clip of the same was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter and the post has gone viral all across the micro-blogging site.
Haris has previously also got signed jersey of former Team India captain MS Dhoni.
Earlier Rohit Sharma won the toss and India decided to field first, the defending champions managed to bowl Pakistan out for a score of just 147 with Hardik taking three big wickets including that of Mohammad Rizwan. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the star of the show with a four-wicket haul.
In the chase, the Pakistani bowlers put up a heroic effort to make things tough for the Indian batters. However, Hardik’s cool and composed knock helped India get over the line with just two balls to spare as he scored 33 runs in just 17 balls and finished the match with a spectacular six of Mohammad Nawaz.
