Leading International sports and lifestyle brand has announced licensing deal with Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Special Kohli signature headgears have been launched by the brand. Kohli through his tweet announced the same. The specially designed Kohli headgears will be manufactures, marketed and distributed globally. Kohli even launched the headgears in a special event on Monday in Mumbai. The headwear is branded with One8 and V logos.
Attending the event was also Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s Dwayne Bravo. For now the headgears are on sale on Jabong.com India and neweracap.eu in Europe.
During the event, Kohli spoke about his special collection in association with New Era: “I have tried to keep things pretty simple because that fits with my style. Inspired by what signifies me, this collection is for more than just my fans – it’s for anyone who is passionate about what they do, who lives a boundless life and loves headwear,” as quoted on Insidesport.com.
New Era’s vice-president, also welcomed Kohli in their brand wagon, “Virat is one of the world’s finest athletes who inspire millions of fans worldwide. He joins us at a very exciting time for the brand as we continue to build our presence in India.”
Kohli’s brand manager, Bunty Sajdeh, CEO of Corner Stone, added: “Virat’s style quotient and following is there for all to see on a global scale. New Era are the largest headwear licensing company in the world. Their successful associations with the biggest leagues and teams globally are a testament to their quality and commitment. So bringing these two powerhouses was easy!”
