Known for his batting and roped in by the County Club Somerset Cricket Club for the same purpose, Pakistan’s premier Test batsman Ahar Ali on Friday, May 10 did magic with his leg spin for the English County Club against Worcestershire in a crucial quarterfinal match of One Day Cup.
Batting first Somerset scored 337/8 in their allotted 50 overs. Banton scored 112 (103), Hildreth 38 (26) and Trego 37 (56).
In reply Worcestershire were 128/4 when Azhar Ali was introduced into the attack. No one expected what followed with the Pakistan seasoned Test campaigner picking up five wicket haul. Somerset won by 147 runs with Azhar taking five wicket haul.
Soon after the match Somerset posted video of five wicket haul by Azhar Ali on its official twitter handle and termed Azhar as Magician.
