Srinagar, April 11: J&K pacer Umran Malik on Monday continued to bowl his express pace as Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans locked horns in the IPL at DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.
Bowling his first over of the match, Umran struck Gujarat Titans’ captain Hardik Pandya with a bouncer on his helmet. Pandya looked in shock but looked okay as he sent back the physio without letting him have a check-up.
Despite being hit with a scary bouncer, Hardik responded tremendously, smashing Umran for a four on the next ball. Umran, however, ensured to end the over wicket a wicket. He trapped Matthew Wade LBW on the last ball.
The pacer finished his spell with the figures of 4-0-39-1. He also ended up bowling another fiery delivery at 153.3km/h in his last over, the fastest ever bowled by an Indian bowler in the tournament.
