Srinagar: Pakistan debutant spinner Usama Mir stunned star New Zealand batter Kane Williamson with a stunning delivery to claim his debut wicket in the first ODI vs New Zealand in Karachi on Monday.
Earlier Babar won the toss and opted to bowl. Hosts handed debut to spinner Usama.
Mir received his ODI cap from Pakistan head coach and spin-bowling icon Saqlain Mushtaq.
Making an immediate impact the leg-spinner got the better of the New Zealand captain in the 14th over of the innings.
Mir bowled a peach of a delivery to clean up Williamson, who was in total disbelief following his stunning dismissal.
Usama Mir’s leg-break managed to beat Williamson’s bat and ended up hitting the bails as the batting icon took the long way back to the pavilion. Williamson’s stunned reaction after his dismissal has also garnered the attention of netizens on social media.
